A couple of questions I'm hoping someone has had to do this in the past and knows about it.
My MOT last year had an advisory what said Brake Lines Corroded, my mechanic said the break lines will need doing at some point. Anyone know what parts I should be looking out for for my 2003 X350 Super v8? Is it a long job?
Most likely to be the rear brake pipe lines towards the rear of the car.
I suspect your most economical methodology would be to itemise the corroding pipes, then remake using new appropriate size Kunifer corrosion resistant pipe, cut to length and with the necessary flare ends formed.
For genuine parts, try a Jaguar Main Dealer. Be aware that many parts for X350 and X358 are now becoming increasingly no longer available so a degree of engineering ingenuity is likely to be needed. That even extends to getting the bumper boomerang reflector trims. It appears I now have one coming from Hong Kong!
Quite why manufacturers still insist on using steel for brake pipes, I'm not sure. We've all got an idea of course
My local olde style parts shop (becoming rare nowadays, one of only three remaining in southeast London) will make and terminate a copper replacement pipe from being given your old. £12 about each +VAT last time I asked.
Automec do a complete kit of all pipes (as featured on an episode of Car SOS where Tim Shaw blagged a complete set for a car they were doing up betting the firm couldn't make up a complete kit in under an hour )
I had a set from them for a Mk IX coupla years back. Then not too expensive https://www.automec.co.uk
