Anti roll bar bush.

Postby BjornV » Thu Dec 11, 2014 8:22 pm

Hi there.

I recently observed that one of the "D"-shaped bushes for the anti roll bar is bad on my car: Not good

Are these things difficult to change?

Car in question is a 1994 DD6

Thanks in advance

Hopefully this diagram will give you an insight of what's involved. Remember the usual health & safety issues when your vehicle is up in the air.

I assume it is item number 3 (2 off) that you wish to replace?
It will be easier to unbolt both brackets at the same time, replace the rubbers and then retighten the brackets back up.

Regards,
Steve.

Thank you for the picture. Yes, it is the number 3 item I want to replace.
I will change both of them items.
Doesn't seem too difficult to get to, once you can get under the car safely.

two 13mm bolts, and its away. possibly the easiest bush to change on a jag.
also note the parts numbers different even between XJ12 and DD6 variants.
due to slight thicker ARB on the XJ12.

Thanks for the tip, Naki.
There seems to exist several types for this bush. I hope I can get the right one.
Will report back when I have actually done the change.

Bjorn,

As far as I know, the DD6 has a non-sportspack setup. If I'm right, you can just buy the bushes still from Jaguar - part number CCC2806 see here:

Hope that helps

That´s how I understand it too. DD6 does not have the sportpack. At least not normally.

sportpack was an option on all XJ40/ 81 from 1990 onwards, but it is unlikely to be found on a Daimler.
