I’ve lost interest - what would be a good price for this?
1995 xj6 3.2 36,000 miles
British Racing Green
Basic model
In good shape
Standard sound system
CD changer that works
No a/c
No cruise control
No logbook
Has power steering but doesn’t feel like it
Beautiful interior
Low mileage on tires, original full size spare
One key, one fob
Just trying to get a spare key under £100 is a pain
Can’t get fob to work- it did the first day then nothing
£5,000?
95 xj6 36,000 miles worth?

Re: 95 xj6 36,000 miles worth?
For any car of this age, the question of value has several key elements as well as the desirability of a particular model variant. Mileage is far less important than condition. Generally, mechanical issues are more easily solved than body damage/rust and have less effect on sale prices achieved. X300s can be bought for anything between a few hundred pounds (for spares) and £10k+ for gleaming, well-preserved cars. 3.2 litre cars sell for less than 4.0 litre examples and well equipped models sell for more than basic models. Consequently, based purely on your description, £5K sounds ambitious. However, if the bodywork and underside are pristine, £5K might just be possible. Mike.
