2011 X351 XJL Has Arrived

Postby Andy P » Sun Sep 29, 2024 10:41 pm

Hi All,
I am the proud owner of a 2011 X351 XJL which I have had for a couple of months now.
I had to let my X308 go and Karen(my darling wife)wanted me to try something a bit more modern.
So reluctantly I agreed, thinking I am not going to like this compared to my old X308 Sovereign but I have to admit it is growing on me
Yesterday I drove from Devon to Stewartby in Bedfordshire then on to Ripley in Derbyshire, very enjoyable indeed.
Then today we drove up to Hartlepool, again drove lovely.
Although I miss the amount of Burr Walnut and the Real Instruments it is still a nice car and I don't see that many on the road.
Have done nearly 500 miles on this trip so far and it returned 48 mpg, that's a plus point as well.
Here are a couple of pictures of the car in Hartlepool.
Visiting a few other family members then travelling back down to Devon via Luton towards the end of the week, nice little road trip :D .
Take care.
Enjoy your Jaguars :D
Andy :D

The acquisition looks good and it sounds as if you're using it for exactly the right purpose, effortless long distance motoring. Like all modern diesels with particulate filters, the XJ is best kept away from local stop/start work. Mike.
