Leaky boot.

Regularly got water leaking into the boot of my 2011 3.0 diesel XF.
It is reduced a bit following liberal application of clear silicone around the obvious water run-off routes down each side of the door lid and the rear light clusters.
But it is not totally cured.
Now putting a drain-hole in the boot where it pools is an option, but not an idea one.......
Any other ideas gratefully received.

Pull out all the liners carpet etc. Then sprinkle talcuum powder or place tissues around all the possible entry points on the inside, then use a hosepipe to emulate the rain. Dry the outside thoroughly to avoid confusion of water entry when the boot is opened, then check to see if you can spot the source point.

Alternatively, put someone in the boot with a torch and try that!
