Check Your Plenum Drains and tubes

As we're getting to the rainy season (did we have anything else) i've just noticed how my plenum drain tubes have a nice bottle neck design ???? almost designed to block.

If these get blocked and it's raining, the whole tube will fill / the plenum chamber will fill and you'll end up with wet feet while cornering

The drain tubes are (with bonnet open) the two large kinked rubber hoses that go from the bulkhead to chrome tubes near the base of the inner wings. They come from roughly inline with the outer edge of the wiper motor grille/air intake.

What a great way to trap muck and block up.

Not sure if they're the same on facelift models but best check.

Just a thought, these tubes might have enlarged due to age?? not too sure if normal tubes are a uniform diameter. Mine appear to bulge a lot creating the bottle neck and it did have a lot of debris in the rubber tube and was partly blocked up.
