When cleaning my 2003 4.2 Jag X350 , I noticed that a gap had appeared in the seal of my lower rear windscreen. Rather awkward to describe, but the lower seal within the windscreen frame doesn't meet up centrally and there is a small gap which I think was covered by a small clip (hopefully there's pic attached to illustrate). One of those things that under normal circumstances you never really notice but it stands out like a sore thumb when it's not there.
Does anyone know the correct descriptor or part number for this thing so that I can start hunting through the websites of the usual suspects.
Many thanks

Don’t know the actual part, but I would simply fill it with clear silicone. Quick and easy.

Re: Rear windscreen lower central seal clip
I know that the description of "Clip" isn't very helpful, but is it one of the 4 "Clips" detailed on the Jaguar Parts website, that is missing?

Re: Rear windscreen lower central seal clip
Thanks Paul,
I've found the Jaguar parts diagram of the rear windscreen (which apparently is called a backlight) It shows the glass finisher with a gap in the middle of the lower horizontal so the mystery clip must cover this externally and then slide on to the glass seal. However, I think the clip that is shown in the right sort of area on said diagram must be one of several used internally to hold the glass to the seal from within.
I'm now wondering if the missing clip that I'm trying to identify is possibly used by windscreen suppliers as a cosmetic device and is not a Jaguar part at all. Another puzzle is how it went missing in the first place. It's not the sort of thing to drop off and I can see no sign of disturbance; very odd.
