2007 jaguar xk passenger airbag light

Hi

On my 2007 jaguar xk the orange passenger airbag light stays illuminated on the centre console when son in car

Not on all the time if other people I vehicle

Anything to worry about

Is your son quite young? It may be that the weight on the seat is not deemed sufficient to justify why the seat belt has been connected, hence the illumination of the airbag. Many car systems work in this manner.

Hi folks,

Mine is a 2003 X100 Coupe.

I have this light showing, 17 blinks; my garage has diagnosed a faulty sensor in the cluster above the interior mirror which will be replaced.

This fault occurred immediately after the headlining was replaced.

David Marks has told me that if this light is showing I will have a MoT failure and I wonder if there are insurance implications.

I'll update the Forum in due course.
