Driving in Europe

I am planning to go to Belgium shortly in my 2005 XK8 and found out I may need beam deflectors. However, I have noted that beam converters may not be suitable for all types of headlights ie, HID, halogen or xenon headlights. Has anyone had experience of this and if so what is the remedy?
