As many thousands before me, l am looking at a spread sheet. Its purpose? XJ 13 Madness.
My first ask is where to start looking and possible cost of a fully loaded V12 engine.
Where do l start looking for 12 carburettors and all the mechanism to make them talk to each other, nicely?
There will be other things for my shopping list, so join in and please help me fill in the spread sheet and where to buy from? Do you have any new parts for sale l may be interested in. I will look at spending everyone's inheritance later this year.
Thanks,
Daniel

Re: V12 engine acquisition and carbs
Hi Daniel,
An interesting one - there are a few for sale on eBay of course. Are you intending to have a full rebuild done as there are companies advertising for that too?
One way to acquire is of course to buy a complete (basket case) of a car and take the bits you want. As you’ve posted in Replicas I guess you’re building an XJ13 kit? - if you Google “XJ13 kit car” a couple of what look like promising results come up. Having built a kit myself there is a vast industry out there that could help you. Car Builder Solutions is a great place though I haven’t investigated what V12 bits they might supply.
Good luck, Simon.

Re: V12 engine acquisition and carbs
Speaking to someone about an engine this evening. Rebuilt 12 years ago and not used. I suppose l will need two. One to practice ideas on and one for best.
The hints you recommend will come in useful.
Much appreciated.
Daniel
