Battery Charger/Conditioner recommendation

Postby lichfielddave569 » Sat Feb 12, 2022 4:52 pm

Can anyone recommend a trusted battery charger/conditioner for my X type, i have had an issue with a flat battery recently do to not moving the car for several days while recovering from COVID.

A mains feed one would be OK as i have access to mains in my garage.

Any suggestions would be appreciated :)

Lots to chose from but had good results from CTEK.

Ditto,

I would go for MXS 5.0 which has AGM capability.

There are HUGE differences on prices being asked for the CTEK chargers by various suppliers. Do a lot of googling before picking a supplier.

To offer an alternative recommendation - I was asking myself the same question a few months ago and did some reading online. I ended up reading this round-up:

My choice was the Noco Genius 5 which is currently £63 at Halfords with a promo code:

Build quality seems very good and it certainly does the job (with support for 6 and 12 volt batteries, plus AGM and lithium technologies) so I would recommend it.
