There’s been fairly wide press coverage in the last few weeks of very buoyant prices of used cars, as a knock-on effect of the shortage of new ones due to semiconductor supply.

It’s been interesting to see that there’s now a reasonable list of used XKs on Jaguar’s website, for sale via main dealers. A year ago there was virtually nothing on there. Presumably that’s just market forces at work, judging by some of the asking prices.

By the way I have absolutely no plans to sell mine but always like to keep half an eye on the market.

Current prices are crazy (if you're buying). Without searching the market extensively, I have seen three 5 litre XKRs advertised for sale at more than £50K recently. Similarly, at the Silverstone classic where I had my XJC with me, I couldn't get over the number of people who approached me and asked to buy it for serious money. There must be some Covid cash sloshing around looking for homes! Mike.

Top notch X150 which will give you pennies in change from 60 grand. If it carries on at this rate, we’ll be nudging the original list prices from 2014

These guys have been expensive for used XKR vehicles, before the current craziness, in fact I am pretty sure this same car was £45k with them just a week or so ago! No, just checked their website overall and they have an identical car, without the red contrast stitching and just under 30k miles, for £47k. If I include the car in the original post above, Parkway have 5 XKR convertibles for sale right now.
Autotrader is currently listing 162 X-150 XKR (convertible + coupe) for sale right across the age range from 2006 onwards. That's the most at anytime in the past year or so.
