New to Jaguar from Somerset

Hello all,

Pleased to say as of November last year I joined the ranks of Jaguar, purchasing a 2009 Jaguar XF. She is a pleasure to drive, however, being rear-wheel drive, is a very different experience to my previous Golf GTI.

A few issues aside (alternator, tracking, 4 new tyres), things are now running well.

I was wondering if anyone in Somerset or Devon could recommend a local specialist. I'm looking to find someone who is reliable, genuine, and reasonably priced for servicing etc.

Any advice in this matter or other general tips on Jaguar ownership would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the site.

You have Burnt Ash Garage at Taunton and Swallows on the A38 near Weston super Mare to name but a few locally. Both have good reputations.

I`d suggest you hook up with a local Region convenient to you. Not only are Regions fun but they can also give you other Jaguar ownership pointers.

As regards maintenance hints and tips, JEC members frequenting this site are a mine of useful information. These later Jaguar vehicles are a known quantity and we can usually help with any issues you may encounter. The XF has its heritage in the 1999> S-types and the 2003> XJ. Both models have many similarities which make them directly relatable to the XF.
