Morning Gents,
I've been searching for a modifications thread for the UK X150 owners and couldnt seem to find one so I wanted to try and get as much as possible on to this thread. Mods can be performance, styling, noise etc etc
I'll kick off with some ones that I've seen or added to my own car.
Straight exhaust pipes - lasted a couple of weeks before adding silencers in!!
Headlight bulb replacement to remove orange indicator and halogen sidelight bulbs. I also fitted Osram Laser D1S to my dipped beam.
20mm spacers for the front wheels - bought but not yet fitted.
Calipers painted.
Chrome side window trim painted gloss black.
So what else have people done or would do to their XK/XKR's?
Top XK modifications/styling tweaks etc

Re: Top XK modifications/styling tweaks etc
I confess that my XKR Dynamic is absolutely as it came from the factory, largely because I think Jaguar got most of it right by the end of XK production but also due to a lack of spare time to play with any mods. My V12 coupe occupies that space in my life! However, it's good to see what can be done with a little application of thought. I'll be interested to see what develops in this thread.
How much of an improvement to night vision did the upgraded Osram D1s make on your XK? I use them on my XE and appreciate the small amount of extra visibility they bestowed but for a not inconsiderable cost. Consequently, I haven't rushed to upgrade my XKR and will probably wait until an existing burner fails. Mike.

The lasers made a difference but I really think the projectors aren’t up to scratch on our cars. My other car and the wife’s car both have far superior lights to the XK.
Did some good mods today as I fitted the red growler centre caps and grill badge. Looks great against the grey and black - add a nice bit of colour and helps tie the calipers in.

That might be going a touch far for road use. Think of all the speed humps you'd get stranded on!

Indeed there are. I was really after members who’ve done these mods adding them and letting the others know if they’re worthwhile. Obviously it’s in the eye of the beholder for the styling mods.Lots of pics on the net !

I’m hoping to place a pic on this thread of my 2010 Portfolio. The chrome bits were all sprayed black and I had the wheels refurbished in satin Matt black. The problem is I need to re do the chrome bits. I’m thinking of having then dipped. Any ideas?
