replacement battery

I need to replace the battery on my 2006 XK 4.2 convertible. Does anyone have any recommendations regarding the best value battery to buy. thanks , Peter

Don't overlook your local Jaguar dealer - you may get a better deal than you thought possible on a genuine one (and it is nice to keep the car looking original).
Otherwise keep an eye on Euro Car Parts who have regular promotions. Don't be tempted to buy the cheapest one on eBay as that is likely to be a false economy. These cars need a good battery that isn't going to drop its voltage under load or else you will end up with a kinds of spurious error messages and a dashboard like a Christmas tree!
People on here get good results and long service from the likes of Bosch and Varta but again, go for the top end of their range.

I often use www.tayna.co.uk for batteries. Very good range and prices and good service. I've used both Varta and Bosch in my Jaguars over the years.

Maybe surprisingly, if you have, or know someone who has, a Halfords Trade card, their prices can then be very competitive. Worth a look.
