X351 production rumoured to stop in July 2019

Can’t confirm this as any more than a rumour at this stage.

Sad but possibly no surprise if true.

The full rumour is that the current XJ production is indeed due to cease soon, but it will be the first of the current range to receive the electric/hybrid upgrade.

So new design, new engine/s. The initial release to be full electric.

But as with all these things we will wait and see.

I spoke to my local dealer about 10 days ago. They told me that all production had finished, the last being the XJ50 models. Whilst they could try and source a specific colour or spec from another dealer, they said all the last cars have been produced. They had been unable to customer-specify and order a car for production since February. List price of an XJ50 is £55k which seems good for the spec vs the last list price of 3.0D models. And discounts on that £55k can be had....
