back on its own 4 wheels..........

as most of you know i have put the rebuilt rear cage back in , a few anciallary items needed doing and over the holidays i have had a serious tidy up in the workshop

then i got round to putting the car back on its own wheels,

first i went and found my two Azev-A 5 spoke alloys ( nice ) and put em on the hubs ,

after tidying up under the car, i took out one set of axle stands, these were the safety pair strategically placed under the seatbelt mounts just in case the main set failed.

then i put some drive on wheel ramps under the back wheels and then jacked the car up off the remaining big axle stands that were under the rear jacking points of the car , once clear i pulled out the stands and lowered the car onto the ramps , the suspension took up beautifully without any horrible noises, in fact it was almost silent as you could hear the fluid in the jack flowing, lol
once down on the ramps i had a good look round and everything was just peachy....

only a small task, but quite a big step i think,

new front exhaust pipes and a few small bits of underseal and that will be the back end finished

got to get on ebay now and buy four of those sports exhaust tailpipe ends for £50 each , ouch.........

Well done!

You must have a heated garage (or be seriously tough ?) I found ten minutes was the longest I could manage in my unheated and freezing cold garage over the Xmas/New Year break.

well, its not exactly heated ,

but i do have a small electric heater , about five hours is the most before coming in and thawing out, but lying on the concrete floor sucks a lot of warmth from you , lol
