Hello all, I am just about to have my pair of HD6 carburetters reconditioned so I am looking for a good company to undertake the work. I have found in this month's PC magazine a company called Classic fuel systems, so has anybody used this company before so would be gratefully for any feedback with this company or any other company.
Many thanks

Burley Fuel Systems in Salisbury are probably worth a call. They now own the SU brand and make the genuine spares. I think they have a reconditioning workshop too

Re: Carb Reconditioning
Hello
Many thanks for your replies, I now have them back after reconditioning, all nice and clean and polished. The two old brass floats, both had holes both now have been replaced with military grade ethnol resistant plastic ones.
Many thanks

Re: Carb Reconditioning
Hi Sam, I also have a pair of Mk2 twin carbs for reconditioning.
Can you please tell me who and from where, did you get to refurb yours.
What is the approx cost to have them done.
From your last post you appear pleased. Now with some miles done would you still say you are well pleased with their work.

Re: Carb Reconditioning
Did they use ethanol resistant rubber diaphragms ?
I had mine shipped in from the USA , but now have HS8's so no diaphragms

Re: Carb Reconditioning
Hi all, sorry for the late reply to many things keep getting in the way. Anyway the company I used was CFS and with the new floats and bits the cost was about £360 with a very quick turnaround of about 2 weeks if I remember correctly and great communication from a very knowledgeable person on the phone.
