When I went in to Asda earlier, greeting me upon my arrival was an offer on all their oil; £15 gets you 5L of Auto Drive oil.
After reading the bottle, it meets the WSS M2C913-C (handbook denotes A or B) however I haven't heard of the brand before, would it be safe to use?

Re: Auto Drive Oil
Economy is one thing you don`t do on a ZF fitted to a 350!
There is only one correct oil....ZF Lifeguard. Genuine sump filters, connectors and the correct oil are available from Main Dealers, SNG Barrett, David Manner and Berkeshire Jaguar Components to name but a few. I strongly advise you do not cut corners with this gearbox and its oil. Normal well known ATF types are not suitable. A reconditioned gearbox is likely to set you back £3K!

Re: Auto Drive Oil
If it says "fully synthetic" on the pack then it's OK.
Otherwise not unless you're going to use it just for 2 - 3,000 miles only as a flushing oil
I'm convinced of the benefits of fully synthetic now after years of running various scrot cars on various cheeepo engine oils. Some of which may have been re-constituted. One of which -- a '49MY Armstrong Siddley Lancaster seemed to run out of oil and petrol at the same time

Re: Auto Drive Oil
Thanks for the replies chaps. I am on about the engine oil
It is fully synth (wouldn't go with anything else) I usually only drive her at weekends but recently I've had to resort to using her as my daily as my S Type has had its sills redone.
So we're of the opinion that it would be OK? Halfords had an offer of Castrol 4L for £17 at the beginning of the month, but I missed out on that.

Re: Auto Drive Oil
It's worth keeping an eye on Euro Car Parts. They have regular buy one get one free or 50% off sales. I wait for those and then order my oils for stock. Then when I come to do a service I have already bought the oil cheap well in advance.
