In Memorium: 24 Jan 19. Petersfield to Havant from 1pm scramble: Stuart Rees, XJS owner and fan

"My Wheels" - Jaguar Enthusiast Magazine, Nov 2005. Written by my uncle Stuart Rees, to prove how as a wheel chair user, he could enjoy the XJS unaided. Stuart died peacefully last week, age 66. If anyone is available to join in a convoy of XJSs, behind me driving his own - pictured below, please convene in The Square, Petersfield from 1pm, to head off around 1.45pm destination the Oaks Crematorium, Havant to arrive at 2.30pm on Thursday 24th January 2019 (ca. 20 minutes mostly down the A3). Stuart would be thrilled about the spectacle this could create, as we celebrate his life and achievements.

Sorry to hear of your loss. I don't think I knew Stuart personally but I'm sure I've seen the car about in the area, I used to do contract engineering work at Bedales School and Churchers College in Petersfield some years ago and I'm still in the area occasionally.

My XJ-S is still off the road following some mechanical work so it is with much regret that I won't be able to be there on the 24th but my thoughts will be with you and your family.

My condolences too. Never easy but what a great idea to have a convoy of XJSs. Unfortunately I too have taken my XJS off the road to replace the wishbone bushes. Had to make my own spring compressor, the details of which I plan to post up when I am done.

Please accept my condolences. It would be great to support you but I'm afraid I will be working away next week. I wish you well and I hope you get your XJS convoy together as a fitting tribute.
Best wishes

Thanks for everyone's kind words.
Today Stuart's XJS made it to Hole Park and back - to participate in the photo shoot for Jagfest.
We have also just started a website: https://sdwh.co.uk to explain how Stuart's Donations Will Help ... many good causes
