Hi,
Looking to find a replacement and find I can find several second hand units with the same part numbers 4TB & NBC3061BB but there is also a another part number on the label which in my case is 42702 A, but all of the units I can find at a reasonable price use 42702 B - does anyone know if I have to get one with the A or will the B work Ok?!

Re: AJ16 throttle body part numbers
Hi - looking at the Jaguar Classic Parts site the part number for a 4 litre AJ16 is JLM12045 which obviously is not the same one as you quote.
Using the Search Parts facility for the part number you gave doesn't return a result. Are you sure you're looking for the right part?
PS. It's the same for both the AJ16 XJS and the 4litre X300 if that helps.

Re: AJ16 throttle body part numbers
Thanks for the quick reply Davidr - yes, you are correct about the part number and is same on X300; the numbers I am quoting are on the label on side of throttle body. As you rightly point out, the X300 looks identical except for this one number on the label being 42702 A. I am not sure if any on the X300 have same 42702 B as on my XJS; question is does it really matter??!!
Re: AJ16 throttle body part numbers
Here's the same label on my 1996 car. Apparently different part number?
Re: AJ16 throttle body part numbers
Thanks for taking the time to take the photo David - really useful as shows that these part numbers are obviously minor; as you had originally suggested I checked the Jaguar Classics site for part numbers and are the same for both the X300 AJ16 and XJS AJ16 so can only assume there are minor variations but is not important as all will do the job.
