Hi Guys
I have just replaced the cable that connects the drivers door interior opening lever to the door lock. Now everything is reassembled the three passenger windows will not operate from the drivers switch panel only the drivers window will operate. all of the other windows operate fine from their individual switches. Do they now need re programming or has the switch pack now failed in some way?

Re: Electric windows
Hi Bruce,
I had the drivers door card off my Daimler SV8 to re connollise the armrest and repair a small dent in the outer panel.
I didn’t disconnect the battery but disconnected the multi plug for the switch pack plus those for the speakers and puddle lamp. Everything worked normally on reassembly without any programming so I would suspect the plug may have become partly disconnected somehow. Mine has the 3 memory switch unit. Seems too much of a coincidence that something has now failed.

Re: Electric windows
Hi Bruce,
+1 on what Ian has said but before you take everything apart again to check you could try doing a hard reset to see if that puts things back to normal.
By hard reset this means disconnecting the battery and grounding out the positive lead.
This causes all the modules to reset, or reboot if you prefer.
It can clear many odd issues.
It is perfectly safe, provided it is done correctly.
Only disconnect the battery clamp of the ground cable.
DO NOT disconnect the body end of the ground cable.
If I’ve made you nervous, the absolute safest method is to disconnect both leads.
Hold them together for 30 seconds.
Reconnect them.
Nothing can go wrong this way
.
Hope that helps and good luck.
Take Care.
Andy

Re: Electric windows
Thanks for the info guys.
I’ll try that tomorrow and let you know.

Re: Electric windows
Good idea from Andy,
Make sure you have the Audio Code handy but if you disconnected the battery the first time, you will have that anyway.
Let us know how you get on

Re: Electric windows
No luck as yet!
Tried it this morning with a fully charged battery and held the pos and neg leads together for a minute but it is still the same. If it’s not a programming issue then I think I must have dislodged some wires in the door. I will investigate when I have a bit more time and report back.
