Newbie driving an XK?

Hi all

My late farther had an xk120 and a140dhc back in the 1960s and he is the reason I love classic cars. I am getting to an age whereby I am now starting to appreciate the beauty of these wonderful machines. I have restored a few cars in the past but never an XK. I would really like to know what they drive like in modern traffic? If I embark on this journey I would probably uprate the brakes etc.

If any of you guys that own Xk's could give me any helpful advice I would be extremely grateful?
