Lynx Eventer Construction

As a fan of the Lynx Eventer (just 'cos it's different) and having only ever seen a few cars from the outside or at shows behind a fence, I've not had the chance to have a peek at the modifications to the BIW, boot floor, bulk head, rear seats and fuel tank etc. and would be interested to know more.

I don't think there's been a detailed article in the JEC magazine but I understand that there was a comprehensive photo. record of the conversion process during assembly. Would anyone be prepared to share this info. or just a few photo's with me?

Would be most grateful.

Thanks,

Mike

If you haven't seen the JE Article, take a look here.

It's over 1MB so I hope you've got Broadband (BB members only!).

ps I have added a link to the JE Magazine 20 year Index in the 'Register & Gallery' section. (top of BB Forum Top).

Heh webman .... your a star!

Thanks very much for the link. I hadn't recalled seeing the article and I have now found those June - August issues in the loft!

I was also wondering why I hadn't seen anything of a history of what's been in the mag's. This will prove very useful!

Thirst for information quenced ..... for now!

Thanks again.

Lynx Eventer Construction

Hi webman and all,

I'm still looking and formulating my future plans on the Eventer front (I'm probably being too fussy), but I came across a superb Belgian web-site on "Lynx Eventer's - where are they now?". It is mainly in French, (in fact the link takes you to the French part of the site to get all the links), but I've gleaned a hell of a lot of information from this excellent site and have updated my own speadsheet reflecting the info. within:-

http://www.lynxeventer.com/les-eventers-identifies/

Check it out - very interesting!

The JEC should do an article on this owner one day as he's done more to promote the Eventer than anyone besides Lynx wth this info.

By the way, did you also know that Martin Robey did the prototype work for the Lynx Eventer? I'll be asking him more questions for a story one day!

Regards,

Mike

What a great resource! In fact, if you look at the top right hand corner of the home page, and press on the little Union Jack, the page is miraculously translated into English! Really quite a feat of information gathering! Well done!
