Hi All
I am currently trying to dismantle an overdrive from an XJ6 but I am having a few problems with the oil pump.
I have removed the plug and retaining screw but I do not know how to remove the round part with the two flat sides to begin withdrawing the pump valve. Any past dismantlers would you please tell me the correct method of withdrawl.
I am also looking for an overdrive gear lever. I have bought a new switch for the top but that is all I have. Has anybody got one surplus to requirements.
Many thanks for reading my post.

Re: XJ6 Overdrive
Hi Steve
Thank you very much for your response. You are right there are some excellent write ups and videos but the models they show are either older or smaller ( HP) models than mine. The Standard Triumph manual is a very good read and helps understand how the overdrive works.
Again thank you Peter
