Radio advice

Hi, I have perfect FM radio but no MW stations at all, any ideas anyone? Autotuning picks up no MW stations at all, just keeps searching. Wouldn't be that bothered but like 5live...

Well Andy, a year after your request I see no replies. But I have exactly the same issue, no MW stations at all, on my 08 XKR just purchased. If you found a solution please let me know or maybe this new post will alert someone who does!

Sadly not. However, after trying a couple of cheaper options, eventually bought a Pure Highway 400 and works amazingly well, tuned into a FM station and never drops the Digital signal, unlike the built in DAB in my other car. The best thing is that the aerial is hard wired in and communicates wirelessly with the receiver, so no wires attached to the receiving unit, which can be left in the glovebox so no temptation for thieves. Would recommend without any hesitation, bit costlier (£100) but worth it.

There is another thread running with the same issue that someone else has, so must be a recognised problem, again no solution though...

PS: If you do get a Pure Highway let me know and will post fitting instructions, as you have to modify slightly as it is an aluminium shell, obviously, and the earth wire supplied is magnetic and intended to stick to underside of roof by magnetism.....

I was about to say no one broadcasts on MW these days but how wrong could I be. I too do not pick anything up on MW though luckily I am quite happy with FM. So no solution is required. Must be a common problem, one which I had no idea I had.

On checking to see if anyone still broadcasts on MW I came across this list. http://www.mediumwaveradio.com/uk.php

Hope you find it useful.
