My MOT is close to expiry.
Is there any reason to go to a Jaguar specialist, who also do MOTs, rather than any old MOT testing station?
I know they should look at identical things in the same way for the MOT, but wonder if that is the reality for a 30+ year old car.
There is a specialist not too far away, but it is not as easy to get there.
I'd welcome your thoughts/ experiences.
Thanks,
David

Re: MOT-Where to go?
Personally speaking I use the garage that knows the car. As mine is UK registered and kept in the UK for the winter months I use the garage that services it for us. This years, required a new off-side headlight as the lens was damaged. MOT'ed then fitted the headlight a couple of days later when it had arrived.

Re: MOT-Where to go?
Thanks Jon. That reinforces my 'inkling' - I was leaning towards the MOT tester with greater model knowledge (and sympathy?),
Will book it in...
Best wishes,
David
