Wanted - Gearbox mount 1986 XJS-C 3.6 manual

I have a 1986 Jaguar XJS-C (VIN 127502) and require either a replacement gearbox mounting or the parts for one. I have been led to believe that the original part number was CAC4617/1 (3 bolt fixing). Does anyone have such a part for sale or know anyone who could make one or tell me where I might be able to get one. Thanks

I thought the manual box differed to the auto?

Hi David

The part number that I quoted was given to me by David Manners. The parts explosion diagram that you show I had also found but my VIN is outside of the VIN range given and is a different part. I'm not sure if they are interchangeable.

At the moment I have been able to locate the part on eBay from a breaker's yard and I am awaiting delivery to be able to judge its quality. I am now hoping to get a new coil spring to go with the part although I can always reuse the existing one if needs be.

Certainly the gearboxes will differ but whether the gearbox mount differs or not I can't say although that would not be an unreasonable expectation. My car is a manual.

The reference number you gave corresponds to the parts explosion given by Davidr and I have already tried britishcarparts to no avail.

This is turning out to be an interesting challenge but I am working on it!
