X351 Ipod/USB connection

Hi, I've just purchased a 2010 XJ Supersport and I'm having problems with connecting my iPod or USB stick. The system doesn't seem to recognise either!
I've checked the manuals and youtube for solutions but to no avail. Can anyone enlighten me?

thats odd mine is a 2011 and it picks it up fine, you have to go into the menus and select the iPod on Screen once connected into the iPod dock, I found it will not recognise an iPod through the USB.

I've tried that Ray but it doesn't recognise its connected. Its slightly annoying but i've got it booked in with a dealer for a look (under warranty thankfully)
The USB port isn't working either

Problem rectified, replacement usb modules fitted and all working fine now
