Hello folks.
Tomorrow my 2013 XK Portfolio is being taken away (sniff...) by the dealer who is ordering me a new XE-s with a late March ETA.
Therefore I've defected from the XK/XK8 Forum and waiting to pick up any tips on this model.
What I'd like to see here are 2 full-size photos of XEs in Italian Racing Red and Ammonite to enable 'er indoors' to compare. The colours shown on Jaguar's Configurator site seem somewhat inaccurate. (Wish they still offered Salsa red).
Thanks in advance.

Thanks Mike. (Good to see you at the AGM). XE colour pics no longer required - have ordered I.R.R.

Hello Mike.
Only just seen your post and now you have ordered Italian Racing Red of course you will be pleased but as an owner of the Ammonite I can tell you that it changes colour depending on the light. Depending on whether the sun is bright or if it is overcast, if it is low in the sky or brilliant like last summer the car colour can vary from silver, light gold, deep gold and bronze. Summer evenings with the back of the car facing sundown the back end looks metalic silver and the front a deep bronze at the same time. When I first got it my brother asked if it was painted two different colours. I don't go out a lot but since buying it a year ago I have had totally random people, 3 men and 1 woman, come up to me on 4 occasions, (work carpark, garage filling up with petrol, outside my barbers and in a cinema car park) saying how nice it looks and once when waiting at a zebra crossing the chap crossing the road stopped for just a second, looked straight at the front of my car. Now of course I am biased but I swear it was an admiring if not slightly envious glance. The sort of look I had on my face when I dreamed of owning one myself.
