In the process of trying to make the handbrake on my Mk2 more effective, or rather to work at all, I have discovered that the n/s handbrake caliper adjuster is not doing anything. Having removed the split pin (which goes though the slot in the head of the adjuster bolt) and released the handbrake I find that turning the bolt does nothing as it does not seem to be 'captured' in the caliper on the other side of the disc. Is there something missing or am I missing something?!
The brakes were upgraded with new everything about 1,200 miles ago.

Re: Mk2 handbrake caliper adjustment
Hi Richard,
have a look at SNG page http://www.sngbarratt.com/CatalogueProd ... 14&a=15998
There should be an adjuster nut and spring items 22 and 23 this is the later type, earlier types had a simpler bolt and locking nut.
