Quite like it, Vince.

Maybe a bit of colour coded mesh? I believe you may find Plasti-dip in flexible spray cans in a suitable colour.

The sport badge is great. Very FAB..."Fitted at Bloxham". The Stealth type image blows me skirt up! Really liked that image.

Don`t forget to get a fast rack and uprate the dampers!

thanks , lol

i think ' stealth ' is what i'm aiming for with the black trim etc

and as it is a genuine ' S ' model it already came with uprated dampers and a few other tweaks, ( will have to check out the rack , but do have a brand new one in the garage ready to fit , lol )

FAB fitted an alternative valve pack to give the steering a little more weight and feedback. I also recall gearing changed slightly to give less turns, lock to lock. Paul Skilliter had the conversion done on the car he used to own.

I have the ' quick rack ' on the XJS , and a spare new one In the garage, so will see what I have lock to lock in the '40 atm ,

following on from the grille work , I am now going to replace the ultra rare ' sport ' badge, which is genuine , with a brand new ' 3.2S ' badge , the same as on the boot and eventually the wings , this is chrome on cherry red background , and should look really good on the grille , and is a perfect fit being in the same chrome holder ,

pics to follow when I get home, lol

It's looking good Vince, look forward to seeing the car once it's ready to be seen. Maybe the AGM ?????

BB - knowing you as I do I think you'll be irresistably drawn to the one with the wrong badge on it.......

this is the same badge as on the boot extension , and that will be on the wings with the double gold coach lines at the bottom of the doors
