New seminar for aluminium bodied XK/XKRs (X150 models)

Postby mike020150 » Sun Jul 10, 2016 9:52 am

A seminar for the 'new' aluminium bodied XKs (XK150s) will be held on Saturday the 10th September at Stoke on Trent.

A very popular car within the Club, the format will be similar to previously with a potted history of the models, the cars to buy, what to look for, plus regular servicing and more complex issues now the cars are getting older and carry higher mileages.

You certainly don’t want to miss this one if you own an XK or are thinking of buying one.

How to book.
Ring the Club’s office on tel: 0117 969 8186 to book.

The cost is just £60 for the whole day for members of the Club (non-members £80, with £20 refundable if they join the Club on the day and £20 for those not attending the seminar but coming along as a guest, covering food only). For this you are there for a whole day, receive handouts and CDs on various matters relating to the seminar, morning coffee, a full luncheon and even an afternoon tea before you leave.

The venue will be:-

The North Staffordshire Medical Institute.
Hartshill Road,
Hartshill,
Stoke on Trent,
Staffordshire.
ST4 7NY.

Timing:- 8.30am registration, seminar commences 9.00am, finishes 4.30/5.00pm.

The venue is easily accessed from either junction 15 or junction 16 of the M6 motorway, providing excellent parking and catering facilities in a well furnished theatre environment with all modern technical facilities.

There is ample local hotel accommodation available in the area and the Club has regularly used the Holiday Inn nearby, which can offer excellent rates and good accommodation within a 10 minute drive to the seminar venue. If you wish to book, the details are:-

The Holiday Inn
Off Junction 15, M6 motorway.
Clayton Road,
Hanchurch,
Newcastle under Lyme.

Tel: 0871 942 9077.

Alternatively, why not make a weekend of it and join us on Saturday evening at the Premier inn Wrexham North ready for the Snowdon Safari on Sunday 11th September?

Book early to ensure your place on both events.

Don't forget! Time is running out to book places on the seminar. If you're thinking of buying an aluminium (2006 -2014) XK or XKR, there's no better way of learning what to look for in a purchase.

Alternatively, if you have one already, the seminar information will help you understand your car in detail and how to keep it in tiptop condition.

It will be a great day, with lots of fascinating information on these wonderful cars. See you there.

Mike.

Glad you enjoyed it, Steve. Quite apart from the good company, I find the Club's seminars really interesting and excellent value. There's always something to learn however long you've been around Jaguars. Mike.
