I see the experts have not yet taken up your post but I can only say that there is info on here somewhere if you search the board. I have the same problem on my 2007 S type and never got it sorted since 2 years back.
I just considered it too much hassle and so ignored it.

My first guess would be that the flap has stopped moving. Maybe because the motor has stuck or the gears have worn or stripped. Can you hear it moving when you turn the air on on full?

I think the facelift is basically the same as the earlier delanair mkiii although access may differ.
There is info and pictures on the net, have a google for delanair mkiii and I'm sure you will find what you need.

For others watching, it's important to 'excercise' the various controls often to keep the bits moving rather then leave the settings in the same place all the time.

Facelift is basically the same up until the introduction of air bags, then a right pain. Passenger airbag fills the space where the glove-box used to be!

As commented above, the Facelift has the Mk III air-con, which is controlled by micro-processor. If you have the Jaguar Heritage DVD of "Supplementary Information", you should find a diagnostic guide for it; I wrote up my experiences earlier here in this forum.

I think I've the most impossible to do easily job on our cars (or at least the later AJ16 with the passenger SRS). Basically. I was not getting anywhere near a decent amount of air from the left hand blower and upon investigation this turned out to be because the blue flexible ducting had mysteriously detached. Getting the two round ones back onto the aircon unit is a struggle, but ultimately successful. The same cannot be said for the rectangular orifice that attaches directly to the blower unit. On earlier cars (I've only had this one since 2008 (12 years) but previously owned a 1990 3.6 and a 1992 4.0 AJ6) the simplest solution would have been to have dropped the unit out attached the connection, gorilla (or similar) taped it and put it back, relatively straightforward.

Not so with an air bag installed. There is for a start, absolutely not enough space to get enough hands in to the very restricted space to do anything meaningful and secondly it looks like in part like the air bag system gets in the way for an easy removal (cannot for instance remove the glove box etc).

Has anyone managed a fix? And how did you do it.
