I haven't seen the ad. Is it a TV, cinema or online screening? Mike.

Sorry to highjack the thread - yes they certainly are! I had an X300 which was unbelievably unlucky and was damaged / hit several times. It started with the bonnet getting a huge scrape across it from a Discovery's tailgate, when I foolishly parked behind it (the only space in the car park). Whilst at the dealers for an estimate for the bonnet damage a wing got damaged when a parts delivery van backed into it. It then got hit twice while parked, once while I was standing only ten feet away. On a cross-channel ferry trip during rough weather, the offside passenger door was stoved in by some loose ship's equipment rolling about. Having just got that repaired the front wing was hit by a taxi which failed to stop. Just after collecting it from the paint shop after the taxi damage, the bonnet was badly chipped by big lumps of granite ballast flying off a tipper lorry going in the opposite direction! All this in the space of two years of ownership, I was glad to be rid of it. I will never consider a green car again.

Green is definitely not a lucky colour, had a green Hillman Avenger and the first time the present Mrs Searles took it out on her own a VW camper van took the front end off. Then my BRG X308 was the most unreliable Jag I have ever owned had to be recovered three times from my driveway - very embarrassing - before I decided enough was enough....
