Now seriously up for sale, my well known road going rocket is now immediately available.

Fast and furious with demon like handling and the subject of numerous technical articles in our magazine, this ferocious machine now needs a new home. As many will know, an XJR X350R has arrived and this much loved S-type has to be moved on.

The car benefits a Paramount installed power upgrade package consisting of a reflashed ECU, a K&N full flow washable air filter and a resonator-less big bore stainless steel "cats back" exhaust system. Sound track by Paramount and a wonderful V8 noise which adds to the experience. Acceleration is instant and currently is a tad faster off the mark than my XJR.

The suspension has been completely rebuilt this year and has wanted for nothing. ALL new Powerflex Black Competition Series bushes have been fitted together with four patent spherical tube units in the lower rear wishbones. In addition, four Bilstein B6 gas uprated sports dampers control lowered and uprated Adamesh springs. Two rear radius rods have been changed, two front wheel bearings, two lower front ball joints, new brakes, tracking, camber and caster set up, oil and filter etc. The timing tensioners are of the last generation ali type and a new uprated 4.2 water pump, ali thermostat tower, new thermostat, temperature sender, serpentine drive belt and new battery. A special and very rare OMP brace bar across the rear damper mounts add to chassis stiffness.

92k miles covered with an MOT in force until December 2015. A reconditioned gearbox was fitted by Bristol Transmissions at 52k miles.

This car has many years of use left in it. Its great fun as it is quite a convenient sized car for town use, has an immediate throttle response and goes exactly where you point it.

Now sold to a new owner and appreciative local JEC Portsmouth Region member subject to a new MOT tomorrow.

So the car stays in the JEC and will continue to be seen at future events and shows.

Just delivered to our old pal, Vince Lavender who is Treasurer of Portsmouth Region. Vince will share the car with his lady, Debbie Nichol.

Vince has known this car for several years and frequently drove the car whilst in my ownership. Tonight he is chuffed to bits.

I`m really pleased the car has gone to a good home. J44 has been a large part of my life over the eight years I owned the car and helped us all greatly by donating its repair secrets to the Forum pages. Nigel said it was the most famous S-type in the World and published pictures of it dozens of times. Definitely now a car with providence.
