being a 1990 car, i would say its an imposter, but you never know, but only a VIN check will tell

Yeah - a VIN check would help flush out its identity as we're seen some strange things with XJR-S; for example, a demo V12 5.3 that eventually was sold two years later as a V12 6.0 with a blend of pre-facelift and post-facelift items!!! The VIN said left hand drive American, but we found the VIN on some JagSport documentation that confirmed it's right-hand drive Jagsport XJR-S heritage.

For what it's worth, it looks like a genuine XJR-S

If its a 1990 XJR-S and 6.0 litre, it should have Zytek. VIN will start SAJJSAES......

Gone already; I was just curious because it looked like a Lucas ignition system.

£5.5K (from memory) was a keen price... even with that mileage.

So I dug through my XJR-S collection of stuff and found this mag shoot of an early 1989 6.0, with the ignition amp on the engine. Looks genuine to me now.
