It does that on the old link -
(https://www.jec.org.uk/shop/index.php?r ... uct_id=431).

It gives prices on the new link that James posted -
https://www.jec.org.uk/shop/index.php?r ... th=132_133

It won't let you 'select' the price (on the second stage) because it is already 'pre-selected' on the first stage.

Regards,
Steve.

thejpster,

I see the same problem.

We really need to test things properly before we release them onto the website!

Hi All,
I hope everyone is looking forward to this event. I've just finished the first draft of my presentation for the seminar titled " Improving the Performance of AJ6 & AJ16 Engines". I hope people will find it interesting. If anyone has got any specific points that they would like me to cover, then please make any suggestions here and I will try to includes them.

Now I'm onto my second presentation. This one is on the engine management systems fitted to AJ16 engines. Again, if anyone has any requests for points they would like me to cover, then please let me know.

David Marks and I will do our best to cover all the items that we think will be of interest to member, but it's always helpful to have members' input.

See you all on 21st March

Andy,

I'm sure there's going to be a wealth of information that you and David are ale to impart to our members at the seminar.

Do please also look for feedback from members in the XJS Forum events at the same-named thread which has been copied over there. As you will appreciate, there are twice as many XJS owners with AJ6/AJ16 engines as there are XJ40/XJ300 owners.

Tks

Andy, I won't be at the seminar unfortunately but a question that keeps coming up is regarding the 'official' Jaguar Unleaded conversion for the AJ6.

This is the plate that holds the Crankshaft Position Sensor and alters the timing. My '88 has it with the sticker under the bonnet to say it has been done. However, I have often been told that it wasn't really necessary and just results in lower engine performance.

If someone could come up with a definative answer if it really is needed or if the original timing could be re-instated without damage occouring it would be most welcome.

Cheers, Al.

I now have my joining info. I will also be going to the spares day on the Sunday. I get confused when I look under the bonnet - what are all those components?

Are many people stopping Saturday night at the Castle Bromwich Inn? If so, I'll probably join you. If not, I'll go find somewhere that's a) cheap and b) nearer Stoneleigh.

It's about £25 more at the moment. I've probably left it all too late!

There's a hotel in Allesley that's only £39. How bad can it be?

As always with cheap hotels, have a look at reviews on places like Trip Adviser. Have a look here before you book!

Right, I'm booked in to the CB Inn for Saturday night. Wasn't brave enough to try some of the less expensive options.

I might swing by Brown's Lane on the way to Stoneleigh. It's a matter of some regret that I never found the time to go when I was at Warwick Uni in the early noughties (although the bus did go through the old Canley factory).
