Headlight disaster

Postby Bellajag » Sun Nov 02, 2014 4:50 pm

Sharing this as a warning to others. Went to change headlight bulbs and sidelight bulbs on my car. Sidelights were extremely tight and on trying to extract them the plastic headlight adjusters gave way and the whole interior of the light collapsed. This now means all front bumper to come off to get the headlight out. Not impressed, in future I would put up with dim headlights.

Recommend silicon or rubber grease in the glass channel rubbers. This should stop premature breakage of the window wind cables. Same issue seen on S-type for many as year.

Always worth contacting Neville Anderson at North East Jag Spares for new complete or even a pre used unit. Nev has some of the best prices available. Put your "Wye eye, Mon" hat on when you talk to him. Alternatively, employ an interpretor. Those North of the border should have no problem placing an order!
