Has anyone removed a pre face lift v12 radiator?
can it be done without emptying the air con gas?

I haven't actually done it, but did come close when rebuilding the cooling system as I had to get to the t pieces at the front of the engine. I reckon it could be done if you got everything else out of the way, inc taking the bonnet off which is not going to be the easiest of jobs. But yes, I reckon it can be done.

I am a newbie here, and not an experienced car mechanic.
However, this winter i removed and had the rad recored on my -85 HE.
I did not need to de-gas the air-con system.
I did not need to remove the bonnet either.
I took the bonnet-struts (I think they are called that in english), which ment I could get the bonnet up far enough to lift the rad out.

thanks for that Bjorn I have taken the rad out but did remove the bonnet to make things easier as there were other things I wanted to do
And no didnt have to disturb the A/C
