I actually see it as an advantage as you don't have to mess around with the roof. The white "C" Type in your picture is the one that I wanted to buy after driving it but 'er indoors vetoed the idea as it hasn't got any weather protection.

Re: Suffolks Spotted
Roy,
Being an "old fart", I don't mind getting a bit wet on the way home from a great day out however, if the heavens have opened and it's pouring down, it would be very likely that I wouldn't venture out thus missing what might have been a good day.
I also can't fit my deck chairs and pic-nic table on to the car !!!!!!

Re: Suffolks Spotted
Spotted at VSCC Prescott last weekend (It's really a standard red colour, but my camera thinks it's lipstick pink).

The headgear is probably a bit OTT for a warm sunny day.

...Oh, and this black one.

That rough old black thing gets everywhere !!!!!!
Re. headgear, I thought for a moment that that was the memsahb and me, we both have troublesome ear'oles and need to wear helmets, fur lined flying in the winter but white cotton ( bought at the Le Mans Classic ) for the summer.

Re: Suffolks Spotted
Not exactly spotted, but seen on Flickr. Do you need extra luggage space?

I've seen pictures of this USA-domiciled Suffolk before. It has some other unusual features: what appears to be advance/retard levers on the steering hub (like an original SS100) and (dummy?) leaf springs on the front suspension.

Roy,
I think I would rather wear my shirts twice than have that "thing" on the wing, however, it is very cleaver.

Re: Suffolks Spotted

Spotted: no, not the car, but Roger's "new" logo.
I believe he acquired the rights to the old SS winged badge a few months ago, after JLR "requested" that the lozenge should not be used.

Re: Suffolks Spotted
Roy,
I did notice the change, I think it is better certainly more in keeping. That car looks really nice, I would never rule out getting another one Have you also noticed that Frazer's name is now missing from the adverts, perhaps there is something new in the offing?
I missed out on the "C" Type so am now car less so the hunt starts again.

Re: Suffolks Spotted
Roy,
Further to you previous, I have been speaking to Roger and he told me that he has acquired the rights to the SS Car Company name etc so that is great.
If you search u-tube ( as I know you do ) you will find a video of XK's Unlimited with Fraser working there building an SS 100 for the American market.

Spotted at VSCC Wiscombe Park Hill Climb (nr Honiton, Devon): a Suffolk SS100 with an unusual "picnic hamper."

I don't know what it is made of, but it's printed with a wicker pattern to replicate a hamper.
I suppose it was made from wicker, the exhaust could smoke your salmon for you!
