Now most of you know I hate Jaguars that run on the juice of the devil, or tractor fuel

however, I have dipped my toe in the water for the first time with a 2008 LWB Sovver, and , what a car, the run home up the M6 to Carlisle at a very sedate 70mph on the GPS and an indicated 72 on the speedo, resulted in this consumption

ok the two hour cross country run home and a mixed days driving today has bought it back to 48.2, but still impressive

and what a machine it is, essentially one owner, lovely spec full history, just mot'd, 130K miles, a few little bits to do, but on the market and ready to be sold, and at £9999.00 of course the cheapest there is!!!

Rob - no surprise to those of us who run one!
After all, there have been instances where these cars have done over 1000 miles on a single tank. There was a magazine article a few years ago (Jaguar World?) where they went from John o Groats to Land End to see if they could get there on one tank. Did it so easily that they turned around and got 250 miles back towards home before the first cough.
Of course, Top Gear drove one from Basle in Switzerland to Blackpool on one tank, even with the oaf Clarkson driving!
I think they're a remarkable car. Fast, refined and frugal. What more could you want? The only other 350 that might tempt me is your Paramount XJR!!

I last filled mine up in February , but then again I don't go nowhere!!!

I have to say I am impressed with the m.p.g. my best was a recent return trip to Gatwick from North Lincs where I managed 47.6 , this did include heavy traffic on the M25 , My average for the last 9000 miles is just under 42.
The engine has not been remapped(X358 Exec) now with 92,000 on the clock
