Good Evening all
MOT time again, and a fail due to slight play on the nearside rear Hub Carrier Fulcrum Pin/Bolt.
Looking at diagrams for the hub carrier this is supported by taper roller bearings at each end.
I've had the bolt out and it looks fine with no sign of wear at all and a neat fit in the inner race/washers.
Can any bearing play be adjusted out by shimming these bearings closer together (ala wheel bearings), or do the bearing assemblies have to be renewed?
Hopeful thanks in advance.

Rob is right.
There are a few issues with bearing supply on these at the moment as well. We are looking into it to see if we can do anything as Manners etc are on back order.

Hi again
Thanks for your prompt responses.
I have obtained a 2nd hand Hub Carrier and the job is underway, however can you advise please how to disconnect the hub carrier from the handbrake cable outer sheath?
Many Thanks
Ron

Back again, scrap that last request. I've found the plastic clip! Normal service has been resumed ... at least for now.
Thanks again, Kind regards
