Missing nostalgia part

Postby vernon » Fri Apr 11, 2014 3:40 pm

Hi, nostalgia owners, does your car have the same finish part on your shut post( door b post) trim?
I have the driver side piece missing, nostalgia don't have a record of the part. (They built the car 1999. ).
If any one has any idea what this part was from originally it would help,I think it was L shaped and cut to fit.
The chrome bit in the pic!
Sorry for two pix, could not find deleat.

Vernon,
I'm sure Charles will come back with the proper answer, but in the meantime, have you tried one of the many " classic Jaguar " parts companies. I think they may be able to help.

Good luck,

I have been looking at the part you are looking for. The picture hides some detail, I can see it is chrome but can not get a true feel for the exact shape. Does the wider part over the edge of the trim. If it does it is probably a trimming piece which might not have been installed by Nostalga, but the trimmer.

Firstly Hi everyone - Ive just signed up as I am in the process of building a Nostalgia XK120.

Secondly that part looks like its off an MGB roadster, where it is used for exactly the same purpose of holding the sealing strip. Im sure Moss will sell them, there a pretty poor quality photo here http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/Shop/ViewP ... exID=12259
