Great Day!

Postby newbo » Mon Jul 03, 2006 10:13 pm

Hi all,

Guess what, you will laugh at this one dh, all the way to Le Mans and back, then to Caddy Park and today wanted to do a short trip, back brake pads have gone!! So much for me boasting that everything works!! Maybe the enthusiastic drive home didn't help!

Never mind, just wanted to say we all had a great time on Sunday, good to meet like minded Jag enthusiasts. Trying to keep up tradition by brainwashing my 9 year old and his mate!! (however my wife needs a little more convincing) Weather fabulous and a very enjoyable day. Hope too see more of you there next time.

Cheers
Newbo

Yes, it was a good day, it was nice to meet dh dove and later GlennH (just when we thought he had deserted us 8) .

Jon, it was good to meet you and your dad too. It was a shame I missed both DH Dove and Newbo. It was one of those days when everything took much longer than planned and so I arrived only just before lunch. I must be more organised next time. Still, good to meet you and I enjoyed the racing too. The weather was a real bonus (even if my air con is still broken).

On the down side, I can sympathise with Newbo, mine too developed a new fault on the way home - a horrible misfire and bogging down below 2000rpm unless I'm very gentle on the throttle, plus a real pig to get to fire up at all. I think it's overfuelling again. As if it wasn't thirsty enough already ;)

It is entered into the Woodbridge speed trial on the 22nd so I don't have long to get it fixed. :(

Much as I love tinkering with my Jag, this may be a garage job due to the time constraint. Ho hum. The joys of Jaguar ownership :)

Hope to see some more of you soon.

Cheers,
Glenn.

Dear All
Heres the snaps I took on Sunday,
DH Dove.

Hi DH

Did you manage to take any of the Powered by Jaguar race I was doing in the morning?

Or did anyone else?

I am looking for some good shots for my website. www.xjs6000.cc

I'm glad you all enjoyed the day and we hope to see you all and many more at Brands Hatch.

Yes, a few, early shots at Charlies are the PbJ race but I'm afraid I didn't get you - sorry :(
However, I think thats you preparing to exit the assembly area for two laps practice first thing in the morning in Pic. #1?
Next time I'll take commissions.......

Hi

Any pictures from any Circuit would be Great!
If you could send me some to steve.davis@arion.co.uk
They don't all need to be of me, any of the Powered by Jaguar racers would me good.

With your permission I will post them on my website with a credit to you.

Many thanks

Regards

Steve

Steve
I think you should be able to download any of my pics from the AOL Share Pictures site. :)
Give it a go and let me know if you have any problems.
