More 'Battle Scars' - Grr.

Guess which pillock managed to wrap his poor XJS around an unsuspecting parked Fiat Brava. I managed this astounding feat in a tight spot in a car park, and even with someone directing me (I blame his directions of course :P )

Anyway, I now have a lovely burney-scratch across the nearside rear quarter and onto the door, where it turns into a very shallow dent that is just visible enough to  me off! This was caused by contact with the brava's bumper corner.

Time for the touch-up pen / airbrush to come out! (or maybe the bodyshop if its very lucky)

Oh well, live and learn!
CLEAN old '87 XJ-S 3.6 manual (for sale!)
If no-one buys it soon, its going on classic insurance!

Jolly bad luck, Jon. Go on - treat the Big Cat - take it to the bodyshop.

I was watching Fifth Gear last night and there was a gut-wrenching moment when a girl-band member, driving a new Ferrari, avioded hitting a porche by stuffing it into the side of a people carrier. That really did look expensive!

My own S picked up a new battle scar this weekend. I leant it to a good mate to take down south for a few days and it's come back with a nasty chip to the paint on the driver's door that's right on the shoulder and goes down to the primer... I think the touch-up pen will be the only way forward for now.

Grrrrr.

Sorry to hear that Jon, hopefully you got away without the other chap getting your details  Seriously, even a minor insurance claim could write-off an average XJ-S due to their low value.
I'm guessing from your sig that its not a concorse class winner, never mind, even better for you as a quick spruce-up will do. You won't see it from inside whilst driving and anyone looking from outside will still be overwhelmed by the shear beauty of the design of the XJ-S to take any notice of details.
