TRANSFER FEES

Postby raysearles » Tue Sep 25, 2012 4:43 pm

Just sold my S Type ( see forum Buy & Sell ) , and have traded up to a 2009 3.0D S Prem Lux, with very low mileage. Wondered if there were any transfer fees like in the Premiership (??), joking of course, but more seriously anyone out there in XF-land got any tips on anything I should be looking after or out for - its only done 15017 miles in 3.5 years - practically like new... :?:

Very nice Ray, hope you have as much pleasure from the XF as you did the S Type. I'm sure Hugh will be pleased another Member has joined the ranks of the XF board.

That goes without saying, Sport Modes fun - have yet to try "Dynamic Sports Mode" - described in the handbook as being best for "your favourite country road" - is that an invitation or what.......

Just you be careful with that lovely beast!!!

You're getting near the time for tyres replacement. I had 18000 miles out of my first set of Dunlops. Replaced them with Pirrelis - seemed to wear better

Sorry not been paying attention and only just noted your reply.

Yes you are right the fronts are down to 2-3 mm and the rears not much better. I have noted your comment ref the Pirellis and may give them a try - would be nice to eek out a set of tyres to 25k miles - I got nearly 30k out of a set of cheaper brand tyres on the S Type but this is a different ball game.
