3.0 SUPERCHARGED XF

Re: 3.0 SUPERCHARGED XF
That is more like what I`d be looking for.
A smallish motor with some real grunt.
The 2.2d or 2.7d motors don`t do it for me. The 30.d gives more spirit but the well known dpf and injector issues worry me.
The V6 normally aspirated petrol units get somewhere near the fun factor but one has had to go the V8 route to get the real gung ho performance.
Now along comes this supercharged 3 litre with a massive amount of grunt per cc. Performance with probably better economy than a 5 litre V8 and with less of it to go wrong.
Yes. Boxes ticked for me. I think this is my kind of machine.

Re: 3.0 SUPERCHARGED XF
The article shows the engine in the XJ which was suggested when the F-type was announced. Is it going to go in the XF as well?

Re: 3.0 SUPERCHARGED XF
Yes the engine will be available in the XF....it unfortunately will replace the 5.0 N/A.
The 3.0 S/C is basically the V8 block with two cylinders blanked off. Economy & C02 emissions are a little disappointing as a result when compared to those pesky German rivals.
