clunk in drive train ,then limps along

Hi 02 4.2ltr R type,gears change then a clunk and then in a limp mode,but gears do work?
99 xkr wide body coupe fitted,brembo later calipers fitted,4.2 later motor fitted,upper lower pullies,hid,drl,led rear lights,led indication mirrors,ss exhaust,99 xkr convertible,

The car needs to go to a gearbox specialist for evaluation and electronic scan.

No short cuts on this. Each gearbox glitch with throw up different issues. The electronic scan will tell you where you stand.
