XJS Forum meet at Cadwell Park

Postby Norman » Fri Apr 14, 2006 4:56 pm

Hi dh dove

Thanks for the offer to let me have an article for the JEC mag. You may want to give a mobile number as a point of contact for when people arrive at Cadwell Park should there be any confusion, for both the Saturday and/or Sunday if both days are being planned.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Perhaps I will have to think of getting an XJS Forum flag and a long pole so people know where to come for these sorts of events.

Long Pole

Norman
You mean we haven't got one yet
I think you should delve into Club funds at your first opportunity and spend the maximum you are allowed.
It makes it easy for everyone to work out where we they are supposed to be going!
All joking apart, if the forum is to flourish I would suggest it's an essential piece of kit. (thankfully I wont have to cart it around the country) WILL I???
Regards
DH Dove
PS Best make sure it fits in an XJS boot

XJS Forum event goodies

Postby Norman » Fri Apr 14, 2006 7:31 pm

dh dove

I'm on the case gove sorry dove, will also be looking at getting a table and parasol with XJS Forum printed on the parasol or even a Gazebo if I can get one in the XJS, however could put the hood down if room is a problem and keep the parasol up when it rains.

Nice thought, might increase the old fuel consumption a bit though

Now, would funds stretch to a gas barbecue and a beer/wine chiller?
Just imagine, Norm's Bistro at every event, could anyone resist :D
No forum should be without one, surely. Or perhaps I am just being greedy 8)

Seriously, a flagpole, and some sort of gazebo that can be firmly anchored down (to the ground or strategically placed Jaguars), are superb ideas. Race circuits are not too keen on people erecting parasols unless they are kept well away from the track. There's too much chance of it taking to the air and interfering with play

Dear All
Have discussed this with Norman, all looks ok for the day, which will be SUNDAY JULY 2ND 2006.
There will be an item in the JEC Club Magazine XJS Forum Page to advertise ASAP, June Issue I think.
Here's hoping we get a good response, if so I think it could be a cracking day out :D
All the Best, we'll wait and see......... :?:

Just to bump this back up the forum so as people can find it more easily.
Webman, can it be made 'sticky'?

Any ideas on where we are all going to meet?
I haven't been for ages so if someone has a good map of the track or can talk their way through it, it would be of great help for me and others.

PS: My car is still off the road, so I'll be comming in a non-jag car.

Hi Everyone,

Just joined the Forum today! I will be racing at Cadwell Park on 1st/2nd July Red & Silver XJS No.18

Anyone who's going to Cadwell, and isn't up to speed on whats happening in the championship may want to have a look at my website http://www.jagracing.co.uk/. The drivers page has pictures of all the cars, and championsip position etc which might help identify them when they whizz by.

I have never raced at Cadwell before, but have been there. I can confirm that from a spectators point of view it is one of the best. From a drivers viewpoint, I'll let you know on July 3rd!!!!

Whats a sticky?

Look forward to seeing you all.

Regards

Dave
